IT'S MY LIFE could be the story of my life - Anees Bazmee
One doesn't remember when was the last time, when Anees Bazmee worked with relative newcomers. In fact on thinking hard, one finds that there hasn't been any because whether it is SINGH IS KINNG (Akshay, Katrina), WELCOME (Akshay, Anil, Nana, Katrina), NO ENTRY (Anil, Salman, Fardeen, Lara), DEEWANGEE (Ajay, Akshaye Urmila), SANDWICH (Govinda, Raveena, Mahima), PYAAR TO HONA HI THA (Ajay, Kajol) or any of the other films directed by him in the past, Bazmee's forte has always been working with stars.
This is what makes his currently–in–progress IT'S MY LIFE special because Anees Bazmee is now working with Harman Baweja and Genelia D'Souza who are relatively new entrants in Bollywood. Though Genelia still has a blockbuster (JAANE TU YA JAANE NAA), a hit (MASTI) and two average runners (MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP, TUJHE MERI KASAM) to her credit, Harman is just starting out afresh after the debacle of LOVE STORY 2050.
''That's the way it has been and I am quite happy to be working with the youngsters'', says Anees Bazmee with a smile who is being extended the best of the offers from the bigwigs of Bollywood and Corporate world, ''Every individual sees ups and downs in his career; I have faced something like that as well. One has to go by the instincts and bet on the right talent.''
Speaking about IT'S MY LIFE further, Anees says emotionally, ''I too had numerous roadblocks but kept moving in relentlessly. After NO ENTRY, any other film maker would have done numerous movies but my WELCOME came after full two years came. Then SINGH IS KINNG came in quick time and now I am busy with IT'S MY LIFE. The characters in the film want to 'be' the way they want, even though there are quite a few challenges which come their way. Same held good for me too. In a way I feel that the film could well be the story of my own life!''
